Distinguished Professor of Psychology Patrick Corrigan and Sonya Ballentine recently testified to Congress on the importance of patients helping other patients to navigate serious mental illness. Along with patient partner Marilyn Perez-Aviles, the team visited Washington, D.C., where they were interviewed about their involvement in several projects to use peer navigators to help underserved communities in Chicago.
