INTM Faculty-Led IPROs Win at IIT Spring '18 IPRO Day
IIT Interprofessional Projects (IPROs) led by four INTM faculty members, along with IIT Institute of Design (ID) faculty members, and their multidisciplinary student teams won four awards at IIT’s Spring IPRO Day event. All four winners were chosen by IIT Deans and volunteer judges with industry experience, based on the teams’ creativity, knowledge of the subject, understanding of the problem, and viability of their solution(s). Top honors went to:
- IPRO 497-213: Developing Insights that Support Energy Efficiency Improvement Strategies for Varied Built Environments, Dr. Dan Tomal (INTM) faculty advisor
- IPRO 497-237: Applying Robotics to Vertical Farming, Blake Davis (INTM) and Hans Mikelson (ID) faculty advisors
- IPRO 497-101: Developing Solutions to Enhance Urban Rail Ridership & the Commuter Experience, Phil Lewis (INTM) and Limia Shunia (ID) faculty advisors
- IPRO 497-247: Toward a Circular Economy – Salvaging Fiber From Used Clothing
