John Snapper exhibiting art in Fine Arts Building
Associate Professor of Philosophy John Snapper is exhibiting his artwork at the Fine Arts Building's Second Floor Gallery located at 410 S. Michigan, Chicago this September. The show is a two person show of works on paper by Snapper and artist Dawn Brennan, with whom he often collaborates. Snapper describes his drawings as "a composite of formalist exercises, inscriptions and precise representations in pencil, ink, pastel, and paint." Brennan's drawings are studies of plant and animal forms in charcoal, acrylic, and graphite. The show runs from the 3rd through the end of the month, and a reception will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, during the F.A.B.'s Second Fridays Open Studios. The building is open most days until 9 p.m., and Sundays until 5 p.m. Find more information here.
