President and CEO of Invenergy Part of Distinguished Speaker Series at IIT
Michael Polsky, founder, President and CEO of Invenergy, LLC, will deliver a lecture, “Future of Energy Generation and Utilization,” as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series presented by the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Friday January 27, 2006, 3:30 pm at Siegel Hall Auditorium, 3301 South Dearborn.
Invenergy specializes in developing, acquiring and owning various power generations with an emphasis on renewable resources. With nearly 30 years of experience in the energy industry, Polsky is widely recognized as a pioneer and an industry leader in the cogeneration and independent power industry in North America.
Polsky currently chairs the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board, University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. In addition, he serves on the Boards of Children’s Memorial Hospital, Children’s Memorial Foundation, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) Chicago, Council of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and the World Resources Institute. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Economic Club of Chicago, Executive’s Club of Chicago, Standard Club of Chicago and the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations.
Polsky holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a MSME degree from Kiev Polytechnic Institute.
