Psychology students win CREP Research Award

Cristina Baciu, Sydney Fiol and Lisa Horne have been awarded a CREP Research Award for successfully completing a replication of the study “Red, rank, and romance in women viewing men” (Elliot et al., 2010). The students carried out all phases of the research from the institutional review board application to data analysis as part of their Research Methods in Behavioral Sciences course (PSYC 204) in the spring, and they worked into the summer to prepare their submission for the award. The Collaboration Replications and Education Project (CREP; rhymes with grape) is sponsored by Psi Chi and the Center for Open Science, and supports students who are engaged in conducting high-quality replications within psychological science.
