These programs are an exciting way to explore a new country and culture while earning credits toward your core curriculum requirements. Our programs are open to all Illinois Tech students, regardless of their major/college!

Osaka, Japan
June 2-29, 2019
Much like Chicago, Osaka is famous for its food and friendly people. You will get to know this global city through course excursions and have the opportunity to explore the wider Kansai region with day trips to Kyoto, Kobe, Himeji, Nara, and Mt. Koyasan. Learn more about the Osaka Program.
Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Kyoto, Japan
July 5-August 2019
Study popular culture in Japan! As a student in this humanities intensive program, you will explore Japan by train, spending two weeks in Tokyo, one week in Hiroshima, and two weeks in Kyoto. This program is co-convened with a comparable at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Learn, collaborate, and network with peers and faculty from WPI. Glasgow, Scotland

Did you know that logarithms, the toaster, and the modern game of golf were invented in Scotland? Or were many movies and TV shows, such as Outlander and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, were filmed in Scotland? Culture, history, innovation, beautiful landscapes, and friendly people—Scotland has it all. Immerse yourself into the Scottish culture by exploring some of the 3,000 ancient castles, taking train rides through the beautiful Scottish countryside, visiting museums, enjoying the local cuisine, attending summer festivals, and much more.
