Analytics Symposium Connects Students with Industry Experts

On February 25, the 3rd Annual Advanced Marketing Analytics Symposium, hosted in partnership with IBM, welcomed 167 attendees and a panel of industry experts who talked about the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to succeed in a data-driven job market.

Panelists included George Makovic, IBM; Andrew Curtis, Northern Trust; Matthew Gee, University of Chicago; and Anoop Tiwari, Cars.com. The winner of the February 21 Advanced Analytics Competition—Northwestern University—was also announced.

Teams of students from IIT Stuart, University of Chicago, DePaul University, and Northwestern University used data from the City of Chicago in the real-world analytical challenge. View photos from the event.
