Armour R&D Students Showcase Work
After a semester of hard work, Armour College of Engineering (ACE) undergraduate students who participated in research were given the opportunity to showcase their research at the Armour R&D Spring 2014 Expo. The expo was held in the Herman Hall Gallery Lounge on March 26, 2014. Over 40 students from every ACE Department took part in the expo. The winners of the Spring 2014 Armour R&D Expo will be announced on April 18, 2014.
The expo is a perfect chance for students to mingle and share their expertise with their peers, faculty, staff, and industry professionals who have come to view the competition. Students also get Themes credit in their respective areas for participating in the expo.
Armour R&D includes Program for Undergraduate Research in Engineering (PURE) & Mentored Innovation and Development (MIND). Armour R&D is an initiative started by ACE in order to give undergraduate students the opportunity to get involved with research and then build on that research by developing innovative, real-world applications from their research.
Research never stops at ACE and next week a call for Summer PURE & MIND research proposals will be sent out to undergraduate students. The participants will work on research all summer and present their findings at the end of the summer.
