Assistant Professor Ivan Mutis’ Book Tops American Society of Civil Engineers’ Bestselling Books and Standards

Ivan Mutis, Assistant Professor of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Armour College of Engineering, co-edited a book that has advanced to the top of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) list of Bestselling Books and Standards in 2016. Titled Ontology in the AEC Industry: A Decade of Research and Development in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC), the book offers a comprehensive overview of the recent advances in ontology research for the AEC domain. The publication surveys approaches for information exchange, sharing, and integration, and on facilitating users’ understanding of the semantics of information in any project activity work flow.
