Chicago Chapter of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (CHIBPSA) introduces a new scholarship named after CAEE adjunct professor Ralph Muehleisen
The Chicago Chapter of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (CHIBPSA) has introduced a new scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students named after Ralph Muehleisen, a building scientist and engineer at the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Argonne National Laboratory and an adjunct professor in the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering (CAEE) at Illinois Tech.
CHIBPSA will award the Ralph T. Muehleisen Scholarship for Building Simulation to university students pursuing careers in building science and building performance modeling. The scholarship’s name honors Muehleisen for his contributions to the field of building energy modeling and his professional involvement in CHIBPSA, IBPSA-USA, and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
Dr. Muehleisen was integral in the shaping of the Architectural Engineering programs at Illinois Tech and continues to contribute as an adjunct faculty member and research mentor to graduate students. You can read more about the announcement here.
