Distinguished Professor of Psychology Patrick Corrigan awarded an NIMHD grant
IIT Distinguished Professor of Psychology Patrick Corrigan received a few substantial grants to continue his work to bridge the health disparities gap for minority and disadvantaged populations by using a community-based participatory research (CBPR) approach. In 2013, he received a grant from the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) that focuses on African Americans that are homeless with serious mental illness. In 2014, he received a grant from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) that focuses on Latinos with serious mental illness. He has also been recently awarded another PCORI grant that will focus on African Americans with serious mental illness.
