Dr. Bob Carlson, Dean of the School of Applied Technology for Illinois Institute of Technology was the opening speaker at a manufacturing event entitled, "Unlock the Potential of the 4th Industrial Revolution." His presentation focused upon "The Role of Education in U.S. Manufacturing Growth." This event was co-sponsored by the Chicago Chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Manufacturing Advisory Boards of World Business Chicago (WBC) and was held Monday, November 2 at the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute (DMDII).
