Khalili Receives Grant to Continue Atmospheric Monitoring

Date

Nasrin Khalili, Associate Professor of Environmental Management, received a $40,000 grant to continue collaboration with Indiana University on the Integrated Atmospheric Deposition Network (IADN), a project established by the U.S. and Canada for conducting air and precipitation monitoring in the Great Lakes Basin.

The project collects information on meteorological data such as temperature, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation level, and component levels such as particulate matter concentration and organic levels in wet samples (precipitates). The sampling site is located at the southwestern end of Lake Michigan and on the roof of IIT’s Farr Hall.
