M.B.A. Capstone Partners with Chicago Innovation Awards

Industry partners are a key component of IIT Stuart’s educational experience, providing students unique opportunities to apply their skills in professional situations and gain real-world experience in their fields.

This semester, five teams of M.B.A. students worked with Chicago Innovation Awards to explore opportunities to monetize their services. "Chicago Innovation Awards provides an extraordinary amount of services to the community," said M. Krishna Erramilli, M.B.A. Program Director, discussing the organization's mission to celebrate, educate, and connect innovators across all industries in the Chicago region.

In looking for solutions to the business challenge, students brought unexpected benefits to the project. One group interviewed 13 past winners, to which Luke Tanen, Executive Director, said, "even that research alone is valuable to us and will help contribute to our future work."

IIT Stuart and Chicago Innovation Awards are continuing the partnership through the Chicago Innovation Awards Scholarship Competition, providing students a unique opportunity to apply their knowledge to finding solutions for underserved or unmet needs.
