MSED Graduate Gary Holliday Receives 2015 Outstanding Faculty Award at the University of Akron

IIT alumnus Gary Holliday (MSED ’11) received the 2015 Outstanding Faculty Award from the University of Akron. Holliday is an assistant professor, curricular and instructional studies. He was one of five recipients of the award this year.

Gary will be recognized as the 2015 College of Education Researcher of the Year. The award will be presented at the university’s Distinguished Education Alumni and Faculty Awards ceremony, Tuesday, April 7, 2015.

Holliday earned his Ph.D. in science education from IIT in 2011. While earning his degree, he demonstrated his long-term commitment to science education by serving as a high school science teacher at Perspectives/IIT Math and Science Academy in Chicago. Congratulations Gary!
