Opportunity for Graduate Co-Op with Siemens

Siemens Industry, Inc., Building Technologies Division is seeking a Masters/Ph.D., level Co-Op student for a continuous engagement for 3 semesters, starting in January 2016. The location of work is 887 Deerfield Parkway, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. The Co-Op is expected to relocate to a location that is close to Buffalo Grove or have a reliable transportation to commute.

The position requires an energetic engineer who is a MATLAB expert to support executing a remote process in order to deploy a fan optimization application that Siemens BT has recently launched. The responsibility requires project coordination with field engineers, executing MATLAB process, and developing new applications and prototypes. The position requires an individual who is self-motivated, responsible, a quick learner, able to work in a large team, and has a passion for innovation.

The position requires strong background in MATLAB, statistics, Macro EXCEL, and web tools. ME or EE major will be preferred. The candidate needs to be proficient in computer programming. Knowledge of thermal, energy, or HVAC systems is preferred. Compensation will be attractive.
