Students Gain Valuable Insights from CFA Americas Competition

Following a first place victory in the CFA Institute Research Challenge Chicago-level competition in February, IIT Stuart competed in the Americas Regional competition in Denver, CO from March 18-19. While IIT Stuart's team did not advance to the global competition, they remain the 2014 first place winners of the Chicago-level final and have learned valuable lessons in quantitative valuation modeling while honing their communication and presentation skills.

Team members and M.S. Finance students Nan Bai, Yuming "Gary" Hou, Yi Lu, Ying "Winny" Wang, and Yi Zhang benefitted from the extensive time, support, and expertise provided by Senior Lecturer of Finance Michael Rybak, with special thanks to Assistant Dean Ana Rossetti and Associate Dean and Professor of Finance John Bilson.
