Wagman Collaborates in Preliminary Research

Liad Wagman, Assistant Professor of Economics, will conduct preliminary research at the University of South Florida in Ft. Lauderdale on a global collaborative effort that includes IIT Stuart students and researchers from California, Colorado, Florida, and Hong Kong.

Wagman will work with local resources to build a database of recent real estate transactions, property values, housing attributes, and zoning parameters. He plans to categorize the data according to recently implemented local ordinances and state regulations to estimate the impact of new laws that govern homeowners' ability to offer short-term rentals on the price of housing units.
