Young Women in STEM Explore Opportunities in Finance

John F. O. Bilson, Associate Dean, Professor of Finance, and Director, M.S. Finance, and Gregory Chaudoin, Instructor of Finance, hosted a session for IIT's Young Women in STEM Day, including a presentation by Alexandra Arnone, Director of Student Recruitment.

During the session, Bilson and Chaudoin explained how financial markets make extensive use of STEM skills, and that jobs in the industry are among the most interesting and best paid for STEM graduates. The session also provided a glimpse into the world of electronic trading through an exercise using the OANDA foreign exchange trading platform.
