Once you receive your academic adviser’s information you are encouraged to reach out to him/her to schedule your initial advising appointment. They will go over your degree requirements, help you plan out your course schedule, and provide you with a unique PIN so that you may register for courses. Learn more about how to prepare for your initial advising appointment.
In order to register for any course, you will need a unique 6-digit PIN. Only your academic adviser can give you your PIN. If you do not contact your adviser before you arrive at Illinois Tech, you can meet with Undergraduate Academic Affairs (UGAA) during a designated time at SOAR Orientation to register for courses.
Note about academic placement requirements: You must complete your writing placement requirement for your program prior to registering for courses. If you are required to take MATH 151: Calculus I and have not completed your math placement exam, you will not be able to register for MATH 151. You may register for your other courses if you need time to complete the math placement requirement.
If courses are full, you can add your name to a waitlist.
You can continue to update your course schedule until the Add/Drop date and make any changes once AP or transfer credits are added to your account.
