The Chicago Army ROTC Fire Battalion is located in the great city of Chicago, with its headquarters anchored at the University of Illinois at Chicago. There are several universities that students within the Fire Battalion attend for their four-year or five-year academic degrees.
While our students will attend all of their Army ROTC academic requirements at Illinois Institute of Technology, they will frequently interact with and train with students from the following schools as part of the Chicago Army ROTC Fire Battalion:
- University of Illinois at Chicago
- Robert Morris University
- Columbia College
- Roosevelt University
- University of Chicago
- Chicago State University
- Governors State University
- Indiana University Northwest
- Purdue University Northwest
- St. Xavier University
Students in the Army ROTC program learn a variety of skills such as leadership, project management, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, land navigation and map reading, and effective communication. During this time students will test their limits and learn what it means to be ARMY STRONG. Upon completion of their degree program, students will then commission in the United States Army as a second lieutenant and begin a new adventure.
