We are pleased to announce the formation of the Illinois Tech Office of Professional and Continuing Education. We help organizations and individuals build capabilities in leadership and innovation.
We are hoping to engage Illinois Tech alumni to help define and build this new office. There are several ways you can get involved:
Be a course facilitator: as a course facilitator, you will give faculty feedback on course development, sit in on classes, manage small group discussions, assist with assessment and coaching, and help promote the course through your social media channels.
Give us feedback on topics and courses that would interest alumni: we would love to hear from you about what types of programs we should offer. Your feedback may include great classes you took at Illinois Tech that you think others might be interesting in, new knowledge required to stay ahead of the curve at your job, or ways you want to spend your L&D budget.
Create a custom program for your organization: we are already working with several organizations to build custom programs in the areas of leadership, project management, product development process, and design. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us if your organization is looking to create custom training (in any of the numerous areas that Illinois Tech has expertise in); we would be happy to share our ideas and capabilities and co-create a bespoke program based on your needs.
Email us at OPCE@iit.edu if you are interested in exploring one or more of these ways to get involved. Our office is composed of Illinois Tech alumni: Jeremy Alexis (BArch 97, MDes 99) and Hong Zhang (BItm + MItm 2017).
