Dining On Campus
The Office of Residence Life works with Illinois Tech’s dining services vendor, Chartwells, to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable, and satisfying dining experience. All Chartwells campus outlets serve healthy, fresh, and nutritious meals and individual items, in addition to traditional snacks and quick pick-me-up items. The all-you-care-to-eat Commons Dining Hall cafeteria strives to prepare items that appeal to Illinois Tech’s international student population.
Meal plans are designed to provide the most value for students in the Commons. The Commons is an “all-you-care-to-eat” venue, and allows a wide variety of food options for students. From a fresh salad bar to made-to-order pasta and stir-fry, students will experience a wide range of flavors and options. Deli sandwiches, grilled and fried items, and comfort foods are available all day in the Commons.
Students HawkCard serves as their meal card. All students are expected to tap their card upon entering the Commons or at the point of sale at retail locations on campus. The cardholder must be present to activate meal swipes, bonus points, and/or meal exchanges.
